911 emergency response service that will connect you to the police everyone knows

about it which is good in times of emergency however some people have very

strange and bizarre ideas of what exactly constitutes an emergency some

civilians haven't seemed to gotten the memo about never dialing 911 emergency

situation but some people are rarely thinking clearly when they dial

nine-one-one fear anxiety and outrage have a way of clouding one's thought

processes still some of these conversations might be prank calls but

it's very questionable whether pranking an emergency station is worth the fine

and lawsuit that comes with it as every call is being tracked for caller ID and

being a 911 isn't easy in the first place you're talking to people when their more

panic than you've ever been thinking quickly under pressure and perhaps more

challenging ly resisting the urge to fly into a rage when faced with complete

stupidity people have dialed to complain about food problems and being late for

work and it gets worse so without any further ado let's have a look at the ten

dumbest 9-1-1 calls Evan Reddit user lunar berries shared a story of her

boyfriend calling 911 terrified when her boyfriend was walking home in the early

morning hours after an especially late shift at work he called 911 fired though

a fire wouldn't be unusual in their area that was not the case that day the man

started panicking shouting on the phone how the fire was getting bigger and

wondering whether anybody else was seeing it it only took a few moments for

him to realize the reality of the situation that the bright light that he

thought was a fire was actually the Sun rising on the horizon he quickly

apologized for wasting the operator's time and stated how embarrassed he was

it turned out he usually worked the late shift walking home at about 2:00 a.m.

but that shift he got off work a few hours later so he didn't expect the Sun

to rise everyone knows how important it is to lock their phones before putting them in

their pocket but if someone happens to not know that they will after they hear

about this it turns out a shocking number of fumbling thieves and drug

dealers have accidentally dialed 911 discussing their recent or ongoing

criminal behavior in July 2013 nine-one-one dispatchers in Oklahoma

picked up what appeared to be a dropped call but then they overheard some

muffled voices saying very suspicious things like I didn't get through half

the house and were good I got enough jewelry were good minutes later police

were there picking up the Braniac crooks trying to rob the house another case

happened that same year when 900s patchers in Fresno California were

dumbfounded to overhear a conversation between two dudes as they hatched a

half-baked plan to break into a car and then announced loudly that they had

found prescription drugs if Facebook is to ever go down you would probably

complain about the issue on other social accounts or just google and see whether

you could find out about the problem or you can just call the cops the next

situation really illustrates how much we've come to rely on social media when

Facebook went down for about an hour in August 2014 the police had to ask people

to stop calling 911 not a law enforcement issue LA County sergeant

Burton Brinks even had to tweet in response to the calls saying hashtag

Facebook is not a law enforcement issue please don't call us about it being down

we don't know when Facebook will be back up it's not the first time that people

have called law enforcement to complain about domestic issues a couple of years

ago residents of a Connecticut town called 911 outage interrupted viewing of

the popular TV show Breaking Bad in 2016 lorna do dish of aloha organ miss took

918 service after her neighbors reported a noise complaint to Sheriff Deputies

knocked on her door one of them caught her eye though so when they left do dish

dialed 911 and attempt to get the deputy she described to dispatchers as a cutie

pie to return she said that she didn't even have an emergency oh yeah because

I'm an emergency but she just wanted the dispatcher to throw the cute police back

her way the woman explained how she was 45 years old and she liked to meet him

again but she didn't know how to go about doing that without calling 9-1-1

I'm just gonna be honest with you okay I just thought it was cute I'm 45 years

old and I'd like to meet him again I don't know how go about doing that

without going on one one the cute deputy returned however once he determined

there was no legitimate emergency he arrested new dish for misusing nine

hundred fine of up to several thousands of dollars and up to a year in jail

a woman called the local emergency services in China after her boyfriend

refused to warm up her cold feet police officer Zhou Deng of Ningbo received two

consecutive calls one from the woman complaining her boyfriend refused to

warm her feet but also the other from her boyfriend saying his girlfriend was

too demanding strangely the officer went out to the rental apartment close to

Ningbo University to try to resolve the issue but found the couple still rowing

he  couple put aside their differences and thanked him for coming out to solve

their problem Kyle Dustin head was arrested a few

years ago after he called 911 nted State according to a release from the

waynesboro police department officials said the 24 year old head asked for

rolling papers to be delivered nine one one dispatcher decided to send

two officers to deliver something else to him the officers found the suspect

sitting in a 2005 Chevy pickup truck which had a strong odor of marijuana

emanating from it when they got closer they noticed what looked like marijuana

on heads clothing right here the truck dashboard and the passenger seat he

admitted he had smoked marijuana recently and said he thought he was

calling a friend about the rolling papers not the 911 dispatcher head was cited

for a misdemeanor marijuana possession and released without being taken into

custody but that wasn't the only marijuana related call the next one was

however intentional when Erin clich called 911 in Fort Myers Florida to

complain that her dealer had shorted her on a 75 dollar bag of marijuana in May

2013 Jarvis Sutton was arrested after he allegedly called 9-1-1 operators in st.

Petersburg Florida 80 times wanting kool-aid burgers and

weed to be delivered to him a florida mother was arrested after she decided to

call 911 this patcher said Melissa Townsend of

Brevard County had explained that her kids ages 1 and 3 had not been listening

to her and they needed to learn respect and they needed to learn it from people

in law enforcement they're not listening to me and they need to learn respect and

they need to learn that people in law enforcement

the dispatcher explained to the woman that they didn't come out and scare kids

but when police responded to the call they reported that the 27 year old

mother was drunk and kicked an officer in the crotch several times Townsend was

taken into custody according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and

charged with child neglect battery on an officer resisting an officer without

violence and three counts of probation violation

former Dearborn Michigan police officer Edward Sanchez resigned from his post

after calling 9-1-1 in April 2006 to report that the marijuana laced brownies

he and his wife had eaten were making them sick more precisely he reported

they were dead and I think we're dead I really butyl time is going by really

really really really Sanchez was on the phone with the dispatcher for about five

minutes convinced he and his wife were overdosing he told the dispatcher they

used a quarter ounce of marijuana but he was not prosecuted a police commander at

the department declined to tell localmedia why Sanchez was not prosecuted

according to the Associated Press saying that he'd resigned as a part of an

internal investigation his wife Stacy Sanchez declined to comment though sure it's really funny

sometimes when someone locks themselves in their car but it's even funnier when

they don't know how to use their car when a woman found herself sitting in a

Walgreens parking lot suddenly unable to open the car door electrically she

started panicking she was swearing the car wouldn't start

and the windows didn't roll down so she called 911 I cannot open my car I can't

get the windows down nothing electrical work and it's getting very hot in here

only after the dispatcher calmly advised her to manually unlock the door by

simply pulling up the lock with just a hint of disbelief in her voice the woman

realized she hadn't been very smart about the whole situation even if it's

electrical I tried okay okay all right I thought that I : okay yeah

while some people call 9-1-1 to try and teach a lesson to others who have done

something wrong others just want to punish themselves for the things they

find they have been doing wrong a Wisconsin woman called 911 to report a

dangerous driver which was a perfectly reasonable reason to dial the cops she

said someone really drunk had been driving down Granton Road however when a

dispatcher asked her if she had been riding behind them she replied she was

that good behind number no I am the  um them yes I am okay so you want to call

and report your driving drunk yes it seemed that the forty nine year old

Mary stray had overestimated her sobriety when she hopped behind the

wheel after a long night of brandy and cokes at the local tavern instead of

just pulling over and calling a cab when she realized the blurred reality of the

situation she felt the need to teach herself a lesson and simply reported

herself are you still driving right now yes do you want to stop driving before

you get an accident

thank you
